This substantial mantelpiece is both simple and striking in form. Its plain jamb panels are elaborated with reeded demilune panels adjacent to the fire chamber, which carving detail is mirrored in conforming vertical flutes externally. A receding, stepped shelf completes this Art-Deco-inspired silhouette.
